Welcome to Mocha Sisters Organization Chicago !

 

Our Mission

Mocha Sisters Organization® is non-profit organization recognized under section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Mocha Sisters Organization® was created and designed to:

  • Articulate and promote community awareness (community service)
  • Bring unity among women
  • Teach networking skills with other influential and innovative women of color 
  • Provide scholarships
  • Provide a mentoring program

There are many active organizations available to women, each with a specific purpose or goal. Each has its own resources why you consider becoming part of that organization. We have designed mochasisters.org to introduce you to our organization and what we are about. We invite you to look around and find out more about Mocha Sisters Organization®.

Our Core Values

 

Sisterhood- The state of being a sister by uniting in one order to demonstrate trust, respect, cooperation, and aid to future Mocha Sisters that this is our expected norm.

Knowledge- We emphasize direct perception, understanding, education and experience, whether gained in the classroom, or the workplace.

Integrity- Mocha Sisters Organization® members must demonstrate the state of being upright. Mocha Sisters Organization® stresses whether in business or life all actions, members’ are guided by honesty, ethics, and fairness.

Network- Our actions form a common place where women can learn, exchange ideas, and build business relationships with other business women in the organization.

 

Unity- Mocha Sisters Organization® members must demonstrate the state of being one. MSO members will act on a common understanding of our vision and values.

 

Community Awareness- Future members and members of Mocha Sisters Organization® actions will demonstrate the priority by sharing of time, talent, and treasure with both communities and with Mocha Sisters Organization®.

Branch re-charter

Creating Actionable Knowledge & Embracing the Vision Mini-Conference Series
 
The Creating Actionable Knowledge & Embracing the Vision Mini-Conference serves to educate and motivate our current members and future MSO leaders. There is much emphasis on planning. Session topics include Teambuilding, Communication and Public Speaking, Leadership Principles and Managing Change. The presenters will include National Board Members and/or other professionals.

All MSO members must complete the Leadership*Signature Events*Volunteerism (LSV) Program. Sessions include:

  • Developing Leadership 

  • Branding National Incentives

  • Excelling in Volunteerism
